AUNT ROBBIE'S FROZEN CABBAGE SLAW
My cousin Marla sent me my Aunt Robbie's recipe for Frozen Cabbage Slaw.
This is one of my childhood memories that I loved.
1 HEAD OF CABBAGE- CHOPPED OR SHREDDED
1TBS SALT- MIX AND LET STAND 2 HOURS
SQUEEZE UNTIL DRY, ADD REMAINING INGREDIENTS.
1 GREEN PEPPER CHOPPED
1RED PEPPER CHOPPED
3 STICKS CELERY CHOPPED
BOIL TOGETHER:
1 CUP VINEGAR
2 CUPS SUGAR
1/2 CUP WATER
1/2 TSP CELERY SEED
1 TSP MUSTARD SEED
POUR OVER CABBAGE WHILE HOT.
LET COOL AND STORE IN REFRIGERATOR FOR 1 DAY
THEN FREEZE
