Creamy Broccoli Tuna Helper

I signed up to do a product survey and received this box of TUNA HELPER CLASSIC CREAMY BROCCOLI PASTA AND NATURALLY FLAVORED CREAMY BROCCOLI SAUCE MIX. All I had to do was cook, eat and fill out some questions on the computer. Easy enough.
It was simple...I needed
1 1/2 cups hot water
1 3/4 cups milk
3 tablespoons margarine or butter
2 cans tuna, drained
I only had one can of tuna in the cabinet when the product arrived. I had already taken off my work clothes, and had no intention of getting dressed again, to go get another can of tuna. So I only used one can of tuna in the Tuna Helper.
First, stir together in 10-inch skillet:
uncooked Pasta, Sauce Mix, hot water, milk, margarine and tuna.
Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat. Cover; simmer about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
Remove from heat; uncover and the sauce will thicken.
As you can see by the plate below it did thicken.
This was a easy, quick and tasty meal for a week night dinner. The thing I like most about this was that the Tuna Helper and canned tuna are both items you can have on hand in the cabinet. Betty Crocker has lots of other "Helpers," hamburger, chicken, oriental, etc. My only suggestion to the survey folks was that this one needed more broccoli.

Survey panels are fun. I received no compensation for doing it, only the box of Tuna Helper.

  1. I love doing surveys! I have gotten so many nice things from them (even a Flip video camera!).

...and I can definitely see that there's not much broccoli in that dish. It seems like they always do that in anything that's broccoli flavored!
