The Colors of Spring

The Colors of Spring appear in so many ways
Like having more hours of light in our days
Yellow jonquils pop up through the earth
Green blades of grass signal a new birth
White fluffy clouds float on a gentle breeze
Red breasted robins sing from the trees

Blue skies high above so fresh and bright
Orange sunsets glow before the fall of night
Black caps and robes march with great pride
Pink bunnies with baskets of colored eggs to hide
Brown dirt is being plowed to plant garden seed
Silver raindrops will fall for the moisture they need
Gray geese will be seen flying formation north bound
Purple like buds opening on trees all over town
The Colors of Spring feel so fresh and new
Like the diamond sparkles of the morning dew
