Made In Oklahoma Paper Towels
This is a great program and I want to share it with you in case you have not heard about it.

One in every five children in Oklahoma is at risk of going to bed hungry. Self-esteem, school performance and school attendance are all impacted when these at-risk children lack balanced, nutritious meals.
To help combat this critical need, the Made in Oklahoma Coalition, in partnership with Orchids Paper Company of Pryor, introduced MIO Paper Towels in March 2009. Proceeds from the sale of MIO Paper Towels support the Food for Kids Backpack Program.
The Made In Oklahoma Coalition has created a special two-pack of paper towels to help raise money for the Food for Kids program statewide. Proceeds from the sale of these towels are shared with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma to support their Food for Kids program. Food for Kids provides a backpack full of nonperishable, kid-friendly food for chronically hungry elementary school children to take home over weekends and school holidays when school meal programs are not available. Purchase the specially marked MIO Food for Kids paper towels at your grocer today and help fight childhood hunger in our state.
For more information about the MIO paper towels or the MADE IN OKLAHOMA COALITION go to: http://www.miocoalition.com/
Also on the website you will be able to find a list of restaurants that feature Made in Oklahoma products, companies that make the products and additional information about the Made in Oklahoma Coalition. For every Made in Oklahoma product we purchase we are helping our local economy. Next time you are in the store look for the MIO - MADE IN OKLAHOMA labels, unless you live in another state and then it might be a bit of a challenge, but you can still find some of our fine MADE IN OKLAHOMA products shown in the photo above!
This is such a good idea. I would love to support local manufacturers too, but most don't label their products that way, so you have no idea where they're made. And it's even better that the profits go to a good cause!
